The Tech and Creative industries lead by example. Their response to the refugee crisis is to pitch in to help find solutions – whether that’s opening people’s eyes and altering their perceptions about the refugee crisis through cinema or by helping refugees fill their basic needs using technology. We speak to multi-award winning filmmaker, Yannis Sakaridis, Director of Greece’s 2017 pick for the foreign language Oscar, Amerika Square and a leading member of Techfugees, a digital community initiative helping to empower the displace with technology.
