Konstantinos N. Papaoikonomou was born in 1983, in Athens, Greece and grew up in Corinth. After the completion of his BSc studies in ‘Building renovation and restoration’ in Technological Institute of Patras he went after his dream to study Architecture in Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK. He completed his undergraduate studies and holds a BA, Bachelor in Architecture and an MArchD in Architectural Design with distinction from Oxford Brookes University. Konstantinos living and working as an Architect and freelance Photographer in London. His architectural photography projects have been exhibited under the personal exhibition with title ‘In the seek of Architecture’ (Friends of Art, Corinth), Athens Photo Festival at Benaki Museum Athens, he has taken part in collective architectural exhibitions and has been awarded for his architectural work as well as his work as an architectural photographer (2015 International Photography Awards, 2017 Blueprint Photography Awards). In 2013 he was shortlisted for the RIBA President’s Medals Student Awards for his Research Led Design Dissertation titled: ‘XENIA RELOADED’ | A travelogue in the footsteps of Aris Konstantinidis’. Photography and architectural photography is his passion and expresses his personal view of space that surrounds us. He is using photography as an archive and a way of expression.
