Manolis Manassakis

Head of Marketplace of Europe, Middle East & Africa, Uber

Manolis is the Head of Marketplace of Europe, Middle East & Africa at Uber, looking after one of the three pillars of Uber’s operations in one of the 3 mega-regions globally. He was formerly the General Manager of Greece. Before joining Uber, he served as Director of Business Development at Fathom Health, a Google Ventures-backed healthcare startup in San Francisco, leading all sales, marketing and partnerships efforts.

Previously, he worked at Google as an Industry Manager, helping leading companies from Greece, Cyprus and Malta boost their online sales and make the most out of the web. Manolis holds an MBA and a Certificate of Public Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a Master of Laws in Corporate & Commercial Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Athens. Parallel to his work, combining his passion for technology and legal academic background, Manolis co-founded Lawspot, committed to providing openness and transparency to the law, to all citizens. Lawspot is now Greece’s no1 open online hub for all things legal, trusted by 250K monthly users, aiming to transform legislation, case law and legal opinions into a dynamic, tool-based, searchable dataset.
