The past few months have been an incredible ride for our growing team as a new leader joined Reload Greece Foundation, aiming to drive the organisation to the next day of its development, and an exciting year is planned ahead of us with the pre-accelerator Young Entrepreneurs Programme for early stage business ideas hitting the road again this October.
2018-19 was a year of significant milestones for the programme and the organisation; expansion to more locations, fantastic business ideas by aspiring entrepreneurs coming from all walks of life, including research and business. Therefore, I am happy to be sharing our 2019-2020 plans!
For those who read about this programme for the first time, I wish to share that it is intense but rewarding 6-month journey (Oct 19- Apr 20). Within these months, we will travel in universities and co-working spaces across Europe organising workshops, engaging volunteer student and young professional ambassadors, scouting and training young startups aiming to move their project from the ideation to the MVP stage.
How last year’s winners have developed since winning
Last year’s winner, Kiri (joined from WBS) with her business Digital Health Technologies won the Rising Star award in RG YEP 18-19 getting access to the RG Challenge19 Accelerator, where she also managed to win the Judges award and significant investor relationships. She is currently developing her business product further aiming to raise her first round of investment. The Innovation award winner, Greg (joined from the E-nnovation competition by ACEin in Greece) with his team Quanta Qualia won an Innovation tour at the Cern in Geneva and since that time they got accepted by a prestigious incubator in Poland.
Changes to this year’s programme
We improve the curriculum offered to the cohort developing a two-stream educational content to cover the different needs of the participating teams.
In addition, a new ambassador reward scheme has been launched for our 35 student and young professional ambassadors, in partnership with Alba Graduate Business School! If you are interested in getting involved in Oxford, UCL, Manchester, Amsterdam, Thessaloniki, Ioannina and Cyprus you still have time to get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
