In these times of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we miss engaging with our community at live events but it’s been great to connect with our stakeholders and reach out to new audiences via our recent RG webinar series. Over the last six weeks we have held a number of webinars specifically developed for these uncertain times, featuring experienced entrepreneurs, investors and experts across a range of sectors.
The one-hour RG webinar sessions, held on Thursday afternoons consist of a discussion between the RG team and key speakers sharing their experiences, insights and advice, further complemented by a live question-and-answer session, where viewers are encouraged to participate and ask their own questions. All webinars are free to attend and have been run in collaboration with a range of experts from leading organisations.
Our first webinar was an insightful live chat with the recent Young Entrepreneurs Programme (RG YEP) winning team, Estelle Botbol, Founder of Nanoshield and her HealthTech mentors, Nick Huber, CEO at ProteinLogic and Vasiliki Chounta, Global Health Outcomes Director at ViiV Healthcare. The speakers shared top tips to help entrepreneurs start their own business, covering the key challenges and how to tackle them.
Our second webinar featured UK & Greek VC investors. Anthony Danon from SpeedInvest, Sotiris Papantonopoulos-Mantopoulos from UniFund and Katerina Kanteraki from Metavallon VC shared how they are responding to the pandemic effects on the startup ecosystem.
Our third webinar showcased how RG alumni female founders, Athina Polina Dova from Owiwi & Katerina Santikou from Workathlon are being creative in their mission to disrupt the traditional HR and travel industries.
Our fourth webinar addressed product-led growth, particularly for Saas businesses & startups. Milena Moutsopoulou, Regional VP of Sales at Salesforce, Constance Kratsa, Head of Marketing EMEA Travel Retail at Estee Lauder and Despina Exadaktylou, Founding Member of Product-Led Growth Hub shared how they are working to craft product experiences which activate, retain and expand their customer base.
Our most recent fifth webinar asked leading experts whether the Greek tourism sector can become more resilient and sustainable as it emerges from the pandemic. Angela Gerekou, President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation and Professor Dimitrios Buhalis, Director of the eTourism Lab at Bournemouth University, discussed their insights on Greek tourism and emerging practices for a resilient and sustainable tourism sector in Greece.
