We are delighted to announce that this year’s RG Connect conference will discuss the future of startups, investments, policy and innovation under the theme ‘Greece Open for Business’. On Saturday the 5th of October, Reload Greece’s 6th annual Conference, RG Connect19, will bring together an international community of entrepreneurs, investors, academics, policy makers and other key stakeholders, to give you inside access and perspective during keynote sessions, panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking events. The one day event will be held at Allen & Overy LLP, Liverpool Street, London in collaboration with London Business School, London School of Economics and the South East European Studies (SEESOX) programme of Oxford University.
With leading international speakers, inspiring startup case studies, and invaluable networking opportunities, RG Connect19 is the place to be for the entrepreneurial community in London. Last year we re-branded our annual thought leadership conference into RG Connect, launching three concurrent work streams, ‘CONNECT, LEARN and INSPIRE’, featuring inspiring keynotes, practical workshops, and opportunities for interaction and networking, under the theme ‘Where Challenges Meet Solvers’. One year later, and upon the launch of EquiFund, a €300m+ investment initiative created by the Hellenic Republic in cooperation with the European Investment Fund, RG Connect19 will examine how the Greek entrepreneurial landscape has evolved, what lessons have been learned and best practices to enable the country to become a hub for the region’s entrepreneurial scene.
RG Connect19 will discuss how to effectively mobilise the international diaspora and support young Greek entrepreneurs and businesses to positively impact Greece in the context of this year’s theme: Greece Open for Business. The conference will bring together global thinkers, international professionals, policymakers, academics, financial institutions, journalists and other key stakeholders, featuring inspiring case studies from Greece, other EU countries, the Middle East and the U.S, showcasing best practices and bringing inspiration. Discussions will include innovation in fundraising and impact investment, and will explore how current trends, such as AI, Robotics and Cloud technology, will make a difference to how we work. Discover how to build effective policies and tax, how circular economy projects can lead to achieving the 2030 sustainability goals, how electrification of transport and entrepreneurship show the way to zero emissions, how 5G disrupts our everyday life focussing on the communications industry, and how Greece can build strong collaborations with neighbouring countries. We invite you to join the debate on disrupting industries, scaling businesses and giving back!
