We’re excited to have officially launched our 2018 – 2019 Young Entrepreneurs Programme (RG YEP)! We’ve already completed three UK Ignite workshops and we’ve been impressed with how enthusiastic participants have been and the quality of their ideas. Our flagship 3-step pre-accelerator programme inspires, coaches and nurtures entrepreneurs to develop early stage business ideas into viable startups. The programme aims to enable aspiring entrepreneurs (Final year, Masters & Ph.D. students and Researchers) and young professionals to develop business ideas with a positive socio-economic impact on their home countries.

Ignite workshops – develop your idea with leading mentors

Between October 2018 and January 2019, during the first IGNITE stage of the programme, we’re running workshops at leading Universities in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece and the U.S. If you have an innovative business idea and you’re interested in competing with teams from leading Universities from 5 countries, this is the programme for you! Don’t miss your chance to fast track your idea by joining an Ignite workshop near you soon. At each Ignite event, successful entrepreneurs will share their inspiring entrepreneurial journeys and you’ll have the chance to present and work on your idea with leading business and academic mentors.

If you are in London, don’t miss our Ignite workshop at London Business School on Tuesday 6th November at 6pm. Hear Thanos Kokkiniotis, Founder of Smartify, who have raised $316.5K, and work on your business idea with mentors from HSBC, Private Equity Firm Phestis AdvisoryGGH Ltd and OVO Energy. On Thursday 15th November we’re running an Ignite event at  University College London. Hear Yiannis Kiachopoulos, Co-Founder of Casualy, who raised $1million to deliver AI for cause and affect discovery in biomedicine inspire you with his talk, and then you can work on your own business idea with mentors from companies such as BT, Skylon Consulting and Three

The Ignite workshops are also a space for idea holders looking for new team members to connect with like-minded professionals so if you don’t have an idea but you’re interested in entrepreneurship, join an Ignite event to meet idea holders looking to build their team with young brilliant minds. You’ll work with a very supportive and inclusive community and whatever your background, we welcome ideas from all sectors. However, we are particularly keen to meet ideas coming from the MedTech, AgriTech, GreenTech, BioTech, FinTech and Tourism sectors.

Accelerate your idea with intense mentoring, specialist masterclasses and pitch training

During the second ACCELERATE phase of the programme, fourteen of the best business ideas receive six weeks of intense 1:1 mentoring sessions. Each team is matched with a dedicated mentor who has specialist skills and experience carefully matched with their needs. Reload Greece mentors are top tier professionals from leading companies such as Amazon, AstraZeneca, HSBC and Three. Mentors will support your team to develop your expertise and help you build a robust business plan and a compelling pitch deck. If your idea is accelerated to the second phase of the programme, you and your team will join specialised masterclasses in Creativity, Growth Hacking, Startup Economics, Patenting and Pitch training with partners such as Google and Deloitte Ventures.

The final PITCH phase takes place in London in March 2019, when each finalist team pitches their idea to a panel of esteemed judges, their mentors and a live audience for their chance to win awards and prizes. Prizes include cash, an innovation tour in Greece and fast-track access to RG Challenge19, our intense 11-day accelerator programme which helps startups become investment ready.

Join an international cohort of inspiring entrepreneurs

This year our Young Entrepreneurs Programme is expanding internationally with Ignite workshops in five countries. RG YEP is expanding its activities to Germany, the Netherlands, the US and across several cities in Greece by reinforcing similar initiatives undertaken by selected local institutions who will be the programme’s strategic partners. In October and November, our RG YEP Ignite workshops will deliver business expertise to aspiring young entrepreneurs at leading UK Universities (University of Birmingham, Imperial College London, University of Manchester, London Business School, University of Oxford, University College London and Warwick Business School). During December, we will run Ignite workshops in Berlin (with the Humboldt, Freie & Technical Universities) and Munich (with the Technical and Ludwig Maximilian Universities) in Germany and in Rotterdam in the Netherlands (with the University of Amsterdam, and the Delft, Utrecht, Leiden & Erasmus Universities). For the Greek stream, we are collaborating with the Athens Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (ACEin), organising workshops in Crete, Ioannina, Xanthi and Thessaloniki. Alongside ACEin strategic partners for Greece are the Aegean Startups Competition, Greentech Challenge by NTUA and Alba Business School, our long standing academic partner. In January 2019, we are looking forward to running our first ever event in the U.S. On the 24th of January, we will be running an Ignite workshop in New York, with the NYU, Columbia University and Cornell University.
